The Ondes Martenot and theremin

Having looked at the serpent and ophicleide, here are the the ondes martenot (which has a solo part in Messiaen’s Turangalîla Symphony)

and its close relative, the theremin; used in such film scores as Hitchcock’s Spellbound (not Marnie as I said) and Billy Wilder’s The Lost Weekend.

(amazing!?)
