Return from Russia

This is Summer midnight in northern Karelia, close to the Arctic Circle;

this, the baroque elegance of the Peterhof (Peter the Great’s summer palace);

and this, the Church of St. Demetrius on the Spilled Blood (do you remember the plot of Mussorsky’s Boris Godunov?)
