From Borodin to Bach; the exploration of b minor now takes us back in time to the baroque suite. So, if you can’t – but would like to – tell the difference between the Rondeau, the Bourrée and the Badinerie, all will be revealed in the Dylan Thomas Centre on Wednesday afternoon.
And for those of you who wondered about the the Russian bard, Bayan and his gusli (they ‘appeared’, if you remember, in the slow movement of the Borodin symphony last week), here’s a picture of both bard and gusli (looks like a a closeish relative of the cimbalom):
